Overview
On July 2, 2020, a 3rd party security researcher team, Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative, submitted a report accusing the DIR-867-US Hardware Revision A using firmware v1.20B10 of a bypass authentication vulnerability in the HNAP feature to change the admin password by simply appending the string `?GetCAPTCHAsetting` to the end of a HTTP request to the device. vulnerability. This vulnerability was assigned CVE-2020-15633 from Trend Micro. The Vulnerability was confirmed, expanded to include the DIR-878 Hardware Revision A, and patches were issued too close the issue. The DIR-882-US remains under investigation. Please find the beta/hotfix release below
