DAP-3662 :: v2.01r098 :: ZDI-CAN-11206 :: Authentication Bypass (RCE) Remote Command Execution

Overview

On August 19, 2020, a 3rd party security researcher team, Trend Micro's Zero Day Initiative, submitted a report accusing the DAP-3662 Hardware Revision A using firmware v2.01r098 of  a Authentication Bypass exploit that may lead to Remote Code Execution(RCE) vulnerability.  This vulnerability was assigned ZDI-CAN-11206 from Trend Micro.  The Vulnerability was confirmed and a patch was issued too close the issue.  Please find the beta/hotfix release below

- The device using firmware v2.01r098 or below (olders)  uses the mathopd http server to serve cgi pages. Due to a misconfiguration for the web server, an attacker may call arbitrary cgi scripts without authentication. The PoC leverages a post-authentication RCE feature to execute code as the access point.
