(Non-US) DIR-846 :: H/W Rev. Ax :: F/W v100.26 :: LAN-side Authenticated Command Injection in HNAP1/control/SetMasterWLanSettings.php

Overview


On January 15, 2021, a 3rd party security researcher submitted a report accusing the (Non-US) DIR-846 using firmware v100.26 of a LAN-side authenticated command injection vulnerability. The vulnerability exploits the HNAP1/control/SetMasterWLanSettings.php in the device's web configuration but requires the malicious user to log in to the web configuration interface LAN side of the device.
 
The issue is still under investigation as of 04/12/2021. The latest information is below.
